Campouts

Troop 9 camps once a month. Here is some information, pictures, and videos from those campouts.

Enchanted Rock May 3rd – 5th, 2024

May 3rd: We drove to the parking area, hiked to our campsite, set up camp, and went to sleep.

May 4th: We rock climbed and went on a hike to the top of the big rock; when we got to the top of the base of the rock, the summit trail was closed.

May 5th: We packed up and left.

There was a lot of rain on this campout and someone’s tent got blown into the bushes while they were sleeping in it.

Lake Fayette April 5th – 7th, 2024

April 5th: We drove to the campsite, set up camp, and went to sleep.

April 6th: We went on a hike and fished. We didn’t end up catching any fish though.

April 7th: We packed up and left.

Camporee February 23rd – 25th, 2024

February 23rd: We set up our campsite and then went to sleep.

February 24th: Camporee is a campout where troops play games with other troops so that’s what we did February 24th. My personal favorite game was the one where we tried to put balls into a bucket using two strings as fast as we can. We ended up winning that game by a few seconds since we were competing against another troop like 10 games in a row.

February 25th: This day we earned our awards and cleaned up our campsite. After that we left and went home.
